Rules

We recommend MP4 or MKV file formats. Any other file format will be rejected. Please convert the video files before submission if needed.

Please upload to a Google Drive or Dropbox style website. Send over the link in your application.

We recommend file sizes of 500MB or smaller. While it doesn’t need to be exact anything deemed excessive in size may be rejected

Please add an empty black space before the start of the video to prevent instant playback when shown.

Style:

The following issues will be considered flaws

1. Interlacing

2. Squashed or stretched aspect ratios, or improper letterboxing/matting

3. Chunky/blocky video

4. Color banding (Incorrect coloring due to files or color correction

5. Blurry footage

6. Low-resolution entries

7. Audible distortion

8. Levels that are too low.

9. Low bitrate

10. Audible discontinuities or jumps caused by flawed audio edits

11. Pitch-shifted or speed-adjusted audio (unless by obvious artistic necessity)

480p is the minimum if using sources that are not available in HD, please use 720+ when possible.

Video Length Limits: Entries that do not adhere to the following video length limits may be disqualified:

All AMVs: 1min minimum, 4min 30sec maximum.

Content Standards

AMV’s are restricted to a PG-13 context. Please do not shown anything overly explicit in your entry

Please add a cohesive title (ex “Sonic AMV” or “My AMV”) will be rejected unless the title is changed
